The Brewers blanked the Atlanta Braves 5-0 on Monday night.  Marco Estrada gave up just 2 hits in seven scoreless innings to notch his 7th win of the year.  Carlos Gomez, Jonathan Lucroy and Aramis Ramirez all went deep in the win for Milwaukee.  The series continues tonight as Tyler Thornburg takes on Freddy Garcia.  Coverage begins at 5:35pm on KFIZ.

The National League playoff teams are set.  The Pirates and Reds both clinched postseason spots.  Each team trails St. Louis by two games in the NL Central.  Along with the Cardinals, the Dodgers and Braves also are playing in October.

Just a day after he muffed a punt that led to a Bengals touchdown, the Packers cut Jeremy Ross on Monday.  Ross appeared in 8 games after being signed last season to offer relief to Randall Cobb as a return man.  With Ross gone, Cobb, and rookies Micah Hyde, and Jonathan Franklin are candidates to return punts and kicks for the Packers.

Peyton Manning threw for 374 yards and 3 TDs as the Broncos blew by Oakland 37-21 on Monday Night Football.  Manning has tossed 12 TD passes through the first three games of the NFL season.

Badger running back Melvin Gordon has been named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after running for 147 yards and 3 TDs against Purdue.  The Badgers head to Ohio State on Saturday night.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.
