The Fond du Lac Boys Volleyball team competed in the FVA Quad on Tuesday. The Cardinals went 0-3 on the night, losing to Appleton North (2-0), Green Bay Notre Dame (2-1) and Kaukauna (2-0).

The Packers returned to practice on Tuesday to begin preparing for the Atlanta Falcons. Head Coach Mike McCarthy says the Atlanta offense makes big plays, and they’re number one in the league in scoring which treally tells the story.  McCarthy says the young defensive backs have done well stepping in for others who have lost time to injury and says it’s all about developing young players and trusting the process.

In College Football, the Badgers will host Nebraska at Camp Randall Stadium this Saturday night. Head Coach Paul Chryst says the Huskers are another challenge for his team. It’s a different challenge from week to week and his team needs to “rise up” like always.

Cleveland takes game one of the World Series, 6-0 over the Chicago Cubs in Cleveland Tuesday night. Roberto Perez homered twice for the Tribe while starter Corey Kluber struck out nine Cubs batters in six innings on the mound. Game two is tonight in Cleveland.

The Milwaukee Bucks open the regular season tonight at home against the Charlotte Hornets. Coverage begins at 6:40 on News/Talk 1450 KFIZ.

Former Badgers running back and Heisman Trophy winner Ron Dayne, LPGA golfer Sherri Steinhauer and former Packers defensive back Charles Woodson will be inducted as part of the 66th anniversary class of the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame. Former baseball commissioner Bud Selig will also receive the hall’s Lifetime Achievement Award. The induction ceremony will take place April 29th, 2017 at UW-Milwaukee’s Panther Arena, which was the site of the first Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame induction in 1951.
