Both the North Fond du Lac Boys and Girls teams took first overall at the Winnebago Lutheran Quad. Winnebago Lutheran boys place 2nd, Lomira boys 3rd. WLA girls 2nd, Lomira girls 3rd.

St. Mary’s Springs girls place 2nd at the Laconia quad behind first place finisher Mayville. Laconia places 3rd at their home invite.

–FDL’s Elliott Nielsen earns medalist honors by shooting a 39

Chilton finished second at the second Eastern Wisconsin Conference meet hosted by Kiel. The Tigers shot a 172 as a team, finishing four strokes behind first place finisher Sheboygan Falls. Individually, Chilton’s Alex Brandt placed first overall with a one-over 36. New Holstein finished seventh in the team standings with a 200.

Men’s College Golf:

Marian finishes fourth at the Carthage Spring Invite, shooting a 310 as a team. Ryonen Faris shot a 73 to finish tied for 3rd individually.

–Jon Jay tripled to score the tying run in the 6th, then scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch from Brewers reliever Jared Hughes as the Cubs rallied to win at home over Milwaukee. Travis Shaw went 3 for 4 with two doubles and a home run and 3 RBI in the loss. The teams wrap up their series this afternoon, pregame coverage starts at 12:45 on KFIZ.

NBA Playoffs: Toronto 106, Milwaukee 100

–Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points and added 15 rebounds, but the Raptors were able to pull out a win at home to even the best of seven first round series at one game apiece. DeMar DeRozan scored 23 points to lead the Raptors. Khris Middleton added 20 for the Bucks in the loss. The series shifts to Milwaukee for the next two games. Game three is Thursday at 7pm.

Elsewhere in the NBA Playoffs:

Chicago took a 2-0 series lead on top seeded Boston with a 111-97 win over the Celtics in Boston. Dwayne Wade and Jimmy Butler each had 22 points for the Bulls in the win.

The LA Clippers evened their Western Conference first round series with Utah at a game apiece with a 99-91 win in LA. Blake Griffin scored 24 to lead the Clippers in the win.

The new downtown basketball arena in Milwaukee will play host to opening round games of the NCAA Tournament in 2022. The NCAA on Tuesday announced its future sites for the tournament’s first and second round games for 2019 to 2022. A joint bid between Marquette and the Milwaukee Bucks was accepted, and Marquette will serve as an official host for opening round games on March 18th and 20th of 2022. The Wisconsin Entertainment & Sports Center is scheduled to open in Fall of 2018. The Bradley Center hosted first and second round tournament games this past season.

Linebacker A.J. Hawk will retire with the Green Bay Packers. The 2006 draft pick out of Ohio State ranks first in franchise history with 1,118 career tackles. Hawk played in 142 of a possible 144 regular-season games with Green Bay, appearing in all 16 contests in eight of his nine seasons with the Packers. He played one season with the Cincinnati Bengals and appeared in one game for the Atlanta Falcons last year.
