–Andrew Bullock went 2 for 4 with a double and KV Edwards hit his first home run of the year in the loss for the Dock Spiders who saw their three-game win streak stopped at the hands of Madison on Tuesday night. Fondy will play a day-night doubleheader with Green Bay today. Game one is at 11:35 am in Green Bay, while game two is at 6:35 pm at Herr Baker Field.

Nick Fortes and Brandon Wulff of the Dock Spiders have been selected to play in the 2017 Northwoods League Major League Dreams Showcase on Tuesday, August 8th. Teams are selected by a panel of major league scouts to take part in the event, which includes a day of workouts in front of scouts and a doubleheader featuring some of the top talent in the league. This year’s event is being held at Warner Park in Madison. Fortes and Wulff will play in the second game of the day which is scheduled for 7:35 pm.

–Travis Shaw, Eric Thames and Manny Pina all homered and Zach Davies had an exceptional outing on the mound as the Brewers blanked the NL East leading Nationals on Tuesday in Washington DC. Davies pitched a three-hit shutout in 7 & ⅔ innings, while striking out seven. He improves to 12-4 on the year. The Brewers maintain a half-game lead on the Cubs in the NL Central with the win. Game two of the series is tonight, coverage begins at 5:30, first pitch at 6:05 on KFIZ. Jimmy Nelson takes the mound for Milwaukee, while Washington counters with Gio Gonzalez.
