Brewers General Manger Doug
Melvin announced on Tuesday that he will step down from that position at the
end of the season.  Melvin has served as
the team’s GM for 13 seasons.  He took
over an 106 loss team and helped get them to the playoffs in 2008 as a Wild
Card team and in 2011 as the National Central champs.  Melvin will continue to lead the team in the
transition to the new GM and then stay on in an advisory role.
