San Diego Padres held off the Brewers 4-1 on Tuesday night in California
Scooter Gennett drove in the Brewers only run with a ground rule double
in the 4th.  Jimmy Nelson gave
up 4 runs and five hits in 5 innings of work in the loss. Yovani Gallardo gets

The
Brewers still hold a 1.5 game lead over St.
Louis
in the N.L. Central.  Pittsburgh
moves to within five games of the lead. 
The Reds are 10 games back.

Packers final training camp practice is today. 
The team will workout at 10:15am and it will be open to the public.  Green Bay
wraps up the preseason on Thursday night when they host Kansas City. Coverage begins at 4pm with the

NFL
teams had to get their rosters down to 75 players on Tuesday. Green Bay didn’t cut anyone but ended up
placing six players in Injured Reserve including BJ Raji, Jared Abbrederis, and
tackle Don Barclay.

 

The
Wisconsin Badger football teams takes on perennial SEC power LSU on Saturday
night in Houston.  Coverage begins at 6pm with the kickoff set
for 8pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

 

The
Bucks were busy in Tuesday.  They inked 2nd
round pick Damien Inglis to a 3-year deal. 
He was the 31st overall pick and played in France last
year. The Bucks also traded Carlos Delfino, Miroslav Raduljica, and a 2015 2nd
round pick to the Clippers for forward Jared Dudley and a conditional 2017
first round pick.  Dudley has averaged 8
points and 3 rebounds per gave over his 7 year NBA career in Charlotte,
San Antonio,
and the Clippers.

 

The
Fond du Lac
football team is in the state rankings for the first time in over a
decade.  Fondy is ranked #10 in this
week’s Wisssports.net Division One Coaches Poll.   St. Mary’s Springs is #2 in the D6 Poll.

 

We’ve
got a pair of high school football games on the air this weekend at Mountain
Dog Media.  On KFIZ, Fond du Lac hosts Appleton West on Hall of
Fame Night at Fruth. Coverage begins at 5:30pm with the Tim Cruz Agency,
American Family Insurance Pregame Show. 
The kickoff is set for 7pm.  Over
on K107.1, St. Mary’s Springs travels to Wautoma.  The kickoff is set for 7pm presented by BCI
