28-Aug-2013

Because of injury, the Packers only had to cut one player to get down to the league mandated 75 players on their roster on Tuesday.  The Packers placed T Bryan Bulaga, WR Kevin Dorsey, RB DuJuan Harris and LB Jarvis Reed on injured reserve. S Sean Richardson, T Derek Sherrod, T JC Tretter and DE Jerel Worthy were placed on reserve/physically unable to perform. It appears that Mason Crosby has won the kicking job…for now.  Zach Ramirez was the only player actually cut yesterday as he went 6 of 16 on field goal attempts.  Crosby went 14x14 including a 64 yarder.   The Packers travel to Kansas City today for their Thursday night matchup with the Chiefs.  Coverage begins at 5pm with the kickoff at 7pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ and kfiz.com.

Aramis Ramirez went 4x5, homered and drove in 4 as the Brewers beat Pittsburgh 7-6 on Tuesday night at PNC Park.  Rob Wooten picked up the win in relief of Kyle Lohse.  Jim Henderson notched save #22.  Tom Gorzelanny takes on Charlie Morton in game 2 of the series tonight.  Coverage begins at 5:30pm on KFIZ.

Lomira has a new head football coach.  Seth Larson resigned his position at the school to take a job as an assistant principal in a Milwaukee area school district.  Assistant Dwaine Dailey has named the new head coach.  Dailey, and Iowa-Grant graduate joined the Lomira school distract in 2012 and has been an assistant on the team.  Lomira beat Horicon 40-19 in their season opener last Firday night and host Campbellsport this Friday.
