A home run from Ryan Braun and a double from Chris Carter in the 6th inning lifted the Brewers to a 3-2 win in San Diego Tuesday night. Zach Davies got the win, he’s now 9-4 on the year. Tyler Thornburg earned his third save of the year, in his first opportunity since Jeremy Jeffress was traded to Texas. The Packers had the day off of practice yesterday and will return to Ray Nitschke Field for an evening session tonight and tomorrow at 6:15 pm. The Packers open the pre-season in the Hall of Fame game this Sunday night. A 5pm pregame time, 7pm kickoff on News/Talk 1450 KFIZ.

The Milwaukee Bucks have officially announced the re-signing of restricted free-agent center Miles Plumlee. General manager John Hammond announced the deal Tuesday. Plumlee’s agent, Mark Bartelstein, said last month that his client agreed to a four-year deal worth $52 million. The 6-foot-11 Plumlee averaged 5.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 61 games in 2015-16, his fourth season in the league and first full year in Milwaukee. Plumlee received more playing time in the second half, giving the team a spark off the bench. He started 14 games. Hammond calls Plumlee an athletic big man who gives Milwaukee frontline depth

The Bucks announced they will be holding training camp for the second consecutive year in Madison and will host a preseason game in the capitol city. The team said Tuesday that they will hold six practices from September 27th through the 30th in Madison at the Nicholas-Johnson Pavillion on the UW-Madison campus and will host a game at the Kohl Center against the Dallas Mavericks on October 8th. Milwaukee opens the preseason at Chicago on Monday, October 3rd.
