The Badger
men’s basketball team blew out Iowa 92-78 at
the Kohl Center on Tuesday night.  Frank Kaminksky led all five Badger starters
in double figures with 23 points.  Wisconsin hosts Northwestern on Saturday
afternoon.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

 

The Marquette men are on the
road tonight at #7 Villanova.  The Golden
Eagles are 10-11 on the season and just 2-7 in Big East play.  The Wildcats are 19-2 overall and 6-2 in the
league. That game tips at 6pm central.

The Fond du Lac boys
basketball team fell at Appleton North 55-49 on Tuesday night in the Fox Valley
Association.  The Cardinals were sluggish
threw three quarters falling behind 39-25. 
Mark Ziebell’s squad woke up in the fourth ripping off the first 13
points cutting the Lighting lead to 39-38 with 5:39 left in the game.  Fondy couldn’t get over the hump as North hit
10 of 16 free throws down the stretch to secure the win.  The Cardinals were led by Sam Fredrickson
with 12 points.  Jake Walgenbach added
11.  Tony Mattoli led North (3-13, 1-11)
with 13.  Fond du Lac
(3-13, 2-10) will travel to Neenah

The Fond du Lac boys hockey team advanced to the semifinals of
the Badgerland Conference Tournament with a 5-3 win over Waupun on Tuesday
night at the Blue
Line Family
Ice Center
.  Jack Nejedlo and Caylen Dyni each had a pair
of goals for Fondy. The Cardinals will play #1 seed Appleton United on Friday
night at 5:30pm at the Blue Line.  Appleton blew out Beaver
Dam 8-1 on Tuesday.

 

Oshkosh edged St. Mary’s Springs 5-4 in
overtime in their Badgerland Conference Tournament opener on Tuesday at the
Blue Line.  Ryan Mantz had the game
winner in the extra period at 1:02.  Conner
Blank had a hat trick for the Ledgers in the loss. St.
Mary’s Springs will face Fox Cities in the Consolation Bracket on
Friday night at 7:30pm in Rink B at the Blue Line. Oshkosh moves on to the Tournament Semifinals
against Neenah-Hortonville-Menasha on Friday night at 8pm at the Blue Line.
