homered and Lyle Overbay hit a grand slam as the Brewers
put up five runs in the 1st inning, but that wasn’t enough as the
Phillies sent the Brewers to another loss. Philly scored five runs of their own
in the top of the 2nd to take a 6-5 lead and they never trailed the
rest of the way.  This was a 9-7 defeat
at Miller Park on Tuesday night.  Wily Peralta was charged with all nine Philadelphia runs.  Kyle Lohse tries to stop the slide tonight in
game 3 of the series.  Coverage begins at

The Brewers lead
in the N.L. Central is down to just 3 games over St. Louis and 3.5 games over the Reds.

Germany routed the host country Brazil by a record 7-1 margin in
the World Cup semifinals on Tuesday.  The
Germans will face either the Netherlands
or Argentina
in the World Cup Final on Sunday.  That
semifinal is set for this afternoon. That game is set for 3pm central time.

 

Sources say the
Milwaukee Bucks have signed first round draft pick Jabari Parker.  The former Duke Blue Devil gets a four year
deal worth $22.3 million dollars.  Parker
and the  Bucks begin play in the Las
Vegas Summer League later this week. 

 

LeBron James is
set to meet the Miami Heat today about a new contract.  James opted out of his contract with the Heat
and is now a free agent.
