The Twins
knocked off the Brewers 6-4 on Tuesday night at Miller Park.  Yovani Gallardo gave up 6 runs and 8 hits in
five innings of work to take the loss. 
Ryan Braun drove in a pair in the loss. The series shifts to Minnesota for two games
starting tonight as Marco Estrada takes on Ricky Nalasco  Coverage begins at 6:35pm with the first
pitch set for 7:10pm on KFIZ

The Packers
continue Organized Team Activities today in Green Bay
The defensive line will be one area of focus this offseason as the team
tries to improve on defense.  Veteran
Julius Peppers has been brought in to add some pass rush and BJ Raji is back
with hopes of being more effective on the inside of the line. 

 

The Stanley Cup
Finals begin tonight in Los Angeles
as the Kings play host to the New York Rangers. 
The Kings last won the Stanley Cup in 2012.  The Rangers last hoisted the trophy in 1994.

 

The WIAA Boys Golf Tournament began
Sectional play across the state on Tuesday. 
In Division Two, Winnebago Lutheran finished in 3rd place
with a team score of 338.  That was just
one shot behind 2nd place Roncalli. Marinette won the meet with a
319. North Fond du Lac was 12th
with a team score of 374.  WLA’s Chris
Colla was the meet medalist with a 75. 
That was good for a four shot victory. 
Eric Schroeder and Tim Anderson each carded 85s for WLA, Austin Cutter
added a 93, and Will Aird a 100 for the Vikings.  Ben Mand paced North
Fond du Lac
with an 85, Brandon Eimiller had an 86, Mitch Ballwanz
100, Sarah Logterman 103, and Avery Seibel DQ. At the Division Three Markesan
Sectional at Lawsonia Central Wisconsin Christian’s Logan Ganz had a 93 and
Jake Thomson had 108.

 

The WIAA Division One Sectional at Manitowoc was scheduled for Branch
River but the course was too wet and
it was moved to Rolling Meadows in Fond du Lac with action
getting underway at 9:30pm today.  Fond du Lac’s Marcus Ruch
and Matt Dilling will be in the field. 
St. Mary’s Springs send their whole team to the D3 Kohler Sectional at
Black Wolf Run today.  Oakfield’s Rollin Petersen and Trenton Vielbig will
also be at Kohler.  In a Division Two River Valley Sectional at House on
the Rock today the Waupun and Campbellsport teams will be competing along with
Lomira’s Anson Bautista.  Chilton also has their entire team at the
D2 New Holstein Sectional at Badger Creek.

 

The Wisconsin Golf
Coaches Association has named WLA’s Chris Colla and St. Mary’s Springs Academy‘s Brady Sarauer and Christian
McGalloway to the Academic All-State Team.  To be eligible for the team,
players must be at least a sophomore, compete in at least 75% of their team’s
meets, and have a cumulative GPA of over 3.25.
