NFL Free Agency

With free agency starting the Packers lost linebacker Erik Walden on Tuesday as he inks a 4-year, $16 million dollar contract with the Colts.  The market seems very soft for receiver Greg Jennings.  Miami chose to sign Steelers free agent Mike Wallace over Jennings, leaving the Vikings as the only other serious player for him besides returning to the Packers at this time.  The Packers also put a 2nd round tender into to DB Sam Shields.  The Packers didn’t offer free agent tenders to linebackers Robert Francois, Frank Zombo and tight end Tom Crabtree.  That mean’s those guys can sign elsewhere with no compensation to the Packers.

Brewers Lose

Mark Rogers gave up 6 runs on 3 hits and 4 walks in 1 and a third inning of work as the Brewers fell to Texas 12-3 on Tuesday in Cactus League play.  The Brewers play the Diamondbacks today.
