The Badger men’s
basketball team took down North Dakota 78-64 at the Kohl Center
on Tuesday night.  Ethan Happ and Bronson
Koenig each had 17 in the win.  The
Badgers will play Georgetown
on Friday afternoon.

 

18th ranked
Notre Dame handed UW-Milwaukee their 1st loss of the year 86-78 in South Bend on Tuesday
night.  Akeem Springs led the Panthers
with 21 points.

 

The Marian men’s
basketball team hosts Beloit
tonight at the Sadoff Gym.  The Sabres
won their season opener this past Saturday at Finlandia 67-64. The tip is set
for 7pm.

Wizards blew by the Bucks 115-86 last night. 
Khris Middleton had 14 and Jerryd Bayless 13 in the loss.  The Bucks travel to Cleveland on Thursday night.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

College Football Playoff Rankings held steady this week. Clemson is #1,
followed by Alabama, Ohio
State, Notre Dame and Iowa.

 

The Badger
football team will host Northwestern on Saturday in their home finale for
2015.  Coverage begins at 12:30 with the
kickoff at 2:30pm on KFIZ.

 

The Packers get
back on the practice field today as they get ready for a trip to Minnesota on
Sunday.  The Vikings lead the NFC North
by one game over the Packers.  That game
kicks off at 3:15pm and our coverage begins at 1pm on KFIZ.

 

The Cubs Joe
Maddon is the National League Manager of the Year honors while the Rangers Jeff
Banister is the AL’s
top skipper.

 

The Fond du Lac girls
basketball team dropped their season opener 66-53 to Beaver Dam on Tuesday
night at the Acuity Field House.  Fondy
trailed 10-0 early in the 1st half but battled back to take a 39-38
lead in the 2nd half.  The
Golden Beavers then used a 22-8 run to secure the win.  Ally Gietzel had 15 and McKensey Hendrix 12
in the loss.  The Cardinals host Waukesha
Catholic Memorial on Friday night.  You’ll
hear that game on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

The St. Mary’s Springs football team will defend their WIAA
Division Six State Championship on Thursday as they play Darlington Camp
Randall Stadium.  It’s a rematch of last
year’s title game that saw the Ledgers win 37-28. Thursday’s game kicks off at
1pm and you’ll hear it at KFIZ.   You can
buy your tickets in advance for the title game at the St. Mary’s Springs office
through Wednesday.
