WFCA All-State

A pair of St. Mary’s Springs football players have made the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State Team.  Senior offensive lineman Sam Schrauth and senior running back Ike Floyd both get a nod to the first team.  Laconia defensive lineman Nick Zimmerman and Chilton offensive lineman Vinnie Propson both garnered Honorable Mention honors.   Xavier quarterback Matt Ferris was announced as the Offensive Player of the Year while Mukwonago linebacker Dominic Cizauskas was named Defensive Player of the Year.

The Oakfield football team was well represented on the Great 8 South All-Conference Team.  Senior running back Taylor Schaefer was first team at running back and linebacker.  Brett Panzer was 1st team on the offensive line and Griffin Anderson was first team on the defensive line.  Schaefer was Co-Player of the Year in the conference.

Record Night For Kaminsky

Frank Kaminsky set a school record with 43 points as the Badgers blew by North Dakota 103-85 last night at the Kohl Center.  Kaminsky broke Michael Finley’s record of 42 in 1994 by going 16 of 19 from the field including 6-6 from three-point range.  Sam Dekker added 19 in the win.  The Badgers also eclipsed the 100 point mark for the first time since 1995.   Wisconsin will play Bowling Green on Thursday night.
