Badgers Roll

The Wisconsin Badger men’s basketball team pounded Presbyterian 88-43 at the Kohl Center.  Ben Brust scored 20 and Sam Dekker 16 for UW who will now head to Las Vegas for a tournament this weekend.  They will pay Creighton in the opening round on Friday night.

 

Golden Eagles Win

A day after being upset by Butler, Marquette had no problem with Mississippi State wint 89-62 at the Maui Invitational in Hawaii.  Vander Blue had 18 points and Davante Gardner added 15.  Marquette will play USC today.  A day after beating Marquette, Butler upset North Carolina 82-71,

 

DIII Hoopster score 138

Jack Taylor who plays for Division III Grinnell score 138 points in their 179-104 win over Faith Baptist Bible last night.  The guard from Black River Falls made 52 of 108 shots and hit 27 of 71 three-point attempts. The previous scoring record for points in a game was 113.

 

Rutgers Joins Big Ten

It became official on Tuesday as Rutgers accepted an invitation to join the Big Ten Conference.  The Scarlett Knights plan to join the league in 2014 along with Maryland.

 

Badgers Get Ready For Penn State

The Wisconsin Badger football team will head to Happy Valley on Saturday for their regular season finale against Penn State.  Right tackle Rob Havenstein may miss the game after suffering a knee injury against Ohio State. Saturday’s game kicks off at 2:30pm.  Coverage begins at 12:30pm on KFIZ.

 

Bucks On KFIZ

The Bucks will play the Heat in Miami tonight.  Coverage begins at 6:10pm with the tip set for 6:30pm on KFIZ.

Fondy Swimmers 2nd

The Fond du Lac boys swimming and diving team was 2nd in a three team event at Sheboygan North on Tuesday.  Fondy won the 400 relay and also Riley Pankratz won the 100 and 200. Cameron Van Beek won the 200 medley and the 500 free. North won the event and Kiel was 3rd.
