Salvador Perez’s walk-off
single in the 12th inning gave the Kansas City Royals a 9-8 win over
Oakland in the
American League Wild Card Game on Tuesday night.  The Royals rallied from a 7-3 deficit with
three runs in the 8th and another in the 9th to force
extra innings.  Then scored two in the 12th
to win it.  The Royals move on to face the
Angels on Thursday.  The Pirates host the
Giants in the National League Wild Card game today.  They will throw the first pitch at 7pm,
central.

 

The Packers host the Vikings
tomorrow night at Lambeau Field. 
Coverage begins at 5pm with the kickoff set for 7:30pm on News-Talk 1450
KFIZ.

 

The Badgers will travel to
Northwestern on Saturday for their Big Ten opener.  Wisconsin
is 3-1 in non-conference play.  The
Wildcats are 2-2 after 29-6 win at Penn
State
last weekend in
their league opener.  Saturday’s game kicks
off at 2:30pm with the pregame set for 12:30pm on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.

 

Training camp is underway
for the Milwaukee Bucks.  With a young
roster head coach Jason Kidd knows that it is a process to build this team into
a contender.  The Bucks preseason opener
is one week from tonight as they play Memphis at
the Resch Center
in Green Bay.  You’ll hear it on KFIZ.

Springs holds steady at #2 in the Division Six Coaches Poll
