Amherst, Stanley-Boyd and Durand sit ahead of the Vikings in this week’s rankings. In Division 6, St. Mary’s Springs retains the top spot with a 4-0 record. The Packers signed Tackle David Bakhtiari to an extension on Tuesday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed by the team, but multiple reports say the agreement is for four years at 51.7 million dollars. Bakhtiari was a fourth round draft pick in 2013 out of the University of Colorado and has started 47 games in his career, including four postseason games at left tackle for the Packers. He started every game of his rookie season at left tackle and was named a pro bowl alternate in 2014.

As the Packers get ready for Sunday Night Football this week against the Vikings, the big unknown is still who the Vikings will be starting at quarterback. Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers said the team is preparing for both Shaun Hill and Sam Bradford. He added that the defense needs to get better on 4th downs.

The Badgers host Georgia State at Camp Randall this Saturday in their final non-conference game. Quarterback Bart Houston said the Panthers have a lot of playmakers and are a young team. Defensive back Leo Musso says facing Georgia State’s offense will be a good test for the Badgers. Pregame at 9am, kickoff at 11am this Saturday on KFIZ.

The Reds used a four-run third inning to beat the Brewers 6-4 in Cincinnati Tuesday night. Milwaukee took a 2-1 lead early in the game after Keon Broxton and Jonathan Villar hit solo home runs, but the four run third inning by the Reds off starter Matt Garza helped them pull ahead. Chris Carter hit a two-run home run in the ninth to pull the Brewers within two, but they couldn’t complete the comeback. Garza took the loss, he’s now 5-7. The final game of the series is tonight, 5:35 pregame on KFIZ.
