Hector Gomez’s bloop single to right plated Carlos Gomez and gave
the Brewers a 3-2 win over St. Louis
in 12 innings on Tuesday night. The Cardinals touched Wily Peralta for a pair
of runs in the first inning but he settled down and shut them down through seven
innings.  Gerardo Para homered and Matt
Clark drove in the other run in the win.
Brandon Kintzler gets the win and Francisco Rodriguez notched his 42nd
save.  The series continues tonight.  Coverage begins at 6:40pm on KFIZ.

The win moves to the Crew to within four games of St. Louis at the top of
the National League Central.  Milwaukee holds steady at
1.5 games behind the Pirates in the Wild Card race after they blanked the Red
Sox 4-0.  Also in the division, the Cubs
beat the Reds 7-0.

A pair of teams clinched divisions on Tuesday night.  The Nationals won the N.L. East with a 3-0
win over Atlanta.  The Orioles took the A.L. East with an 8-2
win over Toronto.

The Packers get back on the practice field today as they get ready
for a trip to Detroit
on Sunday.  The kickoff is set for Noon
with the pregame set for 10am on KFIZ.

A day after the Vikings announced that running back Adrian
Peterson would be allowed to play while he deals with child abuse charges, the
team reversed course and will sit him down again.  Peterson will placed on the NFL’s
exempt/commissioner’s permission list and will not be involved with the team in
any capacity until the legal issues are resolved.  There’s a good chance he will not play the
rest of this season.

The Badgers will host Bowling Green
on Saturday at Camp
Randall
.  Coverage begins at 9am with the kickoff at
11am on KFIZ.
