Travis Diener Returning to Pro Basketball in Italy

alumnus Travis Diener is returning to the hardwood. Diener is leaving his post
at Marquette University as the Director of Player Personnel for the Men’s
Basketball team to return to play professional basketball in Italy. Diener was with
Marquette and head coach Steve Wojciechowski’s staff for the past three
seasons, and has signed a deal to play with Vanoli Cremona in Italy’s top
division. Diener says going back to playing pro ball is always something that’s
been in the back of his mind and the chance to play with his cousin Drake was
one of the key factors in his decision to return to Italy. Diener previously
played in Italy from 2010 to 2014, after stops in the NBA with Orlando, Indiana
and Portland.
