Update: Kohl Center “Not Available” for WIAA State Boys Basketball Tournament

The State Boys Basketball Tournament will not be held at
the Kohl Center next week. The WIAA said in a news release late Thursday afternoon
that they were informed the venue “will not be available” for the tournament
which will run March 19^th through the 21^st.

Todd Clark, Communications Director for the WIAA said the WIAA
Board of Control and Executive Staff will convene for a special meeting to “discuss
options” for the remainder of the boys basketball tournament and the
continuation of the State Girls Basketball Tournament in Green Bay.

The Girls Basketball Tournament began as scheduled on
Thursday with limited access to fans. The boys tournament was scheduled to continue
at the Kohl Center next week, with the limited access policy in place until the
announcement was made on Thursday.
