Valley Football Association: 

Kimberly 34, Fond du Lac 31 (Overtime) 

–Caleb Frazier’s six-yard touchdown run on the second possession of overtime lifted the Papermakers past the Cardinals Friday night in Kimberly. The two teams traded scores all night – with Fondy holding a 14-7 lead at halftime thanks to two first half touchdown runs from Zavier Ellis. The Papermakers outscored the Cardinals 21-14 in the second half to force overtime – in which the Cardinals were forced to settle for a 23-yard field goal from Justin Scheberl on their first possession. A 14-yard pass to Kyle Hammen on fourth down and five from the 20 yard line kept Kimberly alive, setting up Frazier’s run to win the game. Zavier Ellis totaled three touchdowns in the loss for Fondy, with Kyle Walljasper adding an 86 yard touchdown run for the Cardinals. Fondy drops to 2-1 on the year, they host D.C. Everest next Friday.

–Marcus Orlandoni ran for 136 yards and four touchdowns as the Ledgers defeated Luther Prep to pick up their first win of the season.

–The Vikings scored two touchdowns off of special teams – including an 80-yard kickoff return – in the win over the Spartans.
