WIAA Boys Basketball Playoff Pairings Released
The WIAA
has released playoff brackets for the boys basketball tournament. Seeding
meetings were held this weekend, and the tournament will begin Tuesday the 26th
with opening round games. First round matchups for area teams are listed below
by division.
Division One:
Fond du
Lac earned a number 18 seed and will travel to number 15 seed Watertown in the
first round on Tuesday the 26th.
Division Three:
Laconia
earned a number eight seed in their regional and will host #9 seed Berlin on Tuesday
the 26th.
Waupun
earned a #1 seed and will host the Laconia/Berlin winner on Friday, March 1st.
Ripon
earned a #12 seed and will travel to fifth-seeded Wautoma on the 26th.
North
Fond du Lac earned a #13 seed and will travel to fourth-seeded Watertown Luther
Prep on the 26th.
Campbellsport
earned a #11 seed and will travel to #6 seed Columbus on the 26th.
Lomira earned
a #3 seed and will host the Campbellsport/Columbus winner on Friday, March 1st.
Mayville
earned a #10 seed and will travel to seventh-seeded Winneconne on the 26th.
The winner will advance to play #2 seed Omro on March 1st.
Chilton earned
a number five seed in their regional and will host #12 seed St. Lawrence
Seminary on Tuesday the 26th.
New
Holstein earned a number eight seed and will host #9 seed Kiel on Tuesday the
26th.
Division Four:
St. Mary’s
Springs earned a #6 seed and will host #11 seed Sevastopol on the 26th.
Winnebago
Lutheran earned a #5 seed and will host #12 seed Random Lake on the 26th.
Division Five:
Oakfield
earned a #8 seed and will host #9 seed Sheboygan Christian on the 26th.
Central
Wisconsin Christian earned a #9 seed and will travel to #8 seed Monticello on
the 26th.
