WIAA Boys & Girls Track & Field Regionals

WIAA Track & Field regionals were held Monday, May 22nd throughout the area. Here is a look at how area teams fared in the regionals. Complete results and information about other sectional qualifiers can be found at the links. The top four finishers in each event from the regionals advance to sectionals, which will be held Thursday. 


Division 1 Regionals (At Oshkosh North)



The Fond du Lac Boys and Girls track teams each win the WIAA Division 1 regional meet at Oshkosh North. The boys score a 192, with the girls scoring a 159.



First place finishers – Fond du Lac Boys:

 

Noah Tagliapietra – 800 meter, 1,600 meter & 3,200 meter

Andrew Stone – Shot Put & Discus

Adam Hopper – 110 meter hurdles

Trey Halfmann – 200 meter dash

4x200, 4x400 & 4x800 meter relay teams

 

First place finishers – Fond du Lac Girls:

 

Jayden Sawyer – Discus

Katie Retzlaff – 100 meter hurdles

Amber Wells – 300 meter hurdles

Ally Gietzel – long jump

WIAA Division 2 Regional at Berlin HS:



Boys: Berlin takes first with 180 points, Kewaskum second with 120. Ripon 3rd (102), Waupun 4th (66), North Fond du Lac 5th (65), Winnebago Lutheran 6th (55.5), Laconia 7th (47), Lomira 8th (34), Mayville 9th (28.5), Campbellsport 8th (3).


Girls: Berlin takes first with 162 points, Mayville 2nd with 105. Waupun 3rd (83), Winnebago Lutheran 4th (71), North Fond du Lac 5th (54), Laconia & Kewaskum tie for 6th (53.5), Ripon 8th (51), Lomira 9th (44), Campbellsport 10th (21).

 

First Place Finishers (Boys): North Fond du Lac’s Nathan Schallert takes first in the shot put. Lomira’s David Flynn wins the triple jump.


First place finishers (Girls): WLA’s Sarah Niehueser takes first place in the 1,600 meter & 3,200 meter. Mackenzie Boehlke takes first in the Shot Put. North Fond du Lac’s Frannie Sokolik wins the long jump, 100 meter, and the triple jump. Laconia’s Taylor Vandeberg wins the High Jump, Allison Grahl takes first in the 400 meter.

WIAA Division 3 Regional at Pardeeville.


Both the St. Mary’s Springs Boys and Girls track & field teams win regional championships at the meet at Pardeeville. The Ledger boys score 178 points, with the girls scoring 152 points.

 

First place finishers for the Ledgers include:

 

Lexi Franz - High Jump

Blake Lamb - 100 meter dash

Isaac Shannon - 1,600 meter run

Allison Taylor - 400 meter dash

Jake Hoch - 200 meter dash

Michael Buetow - Shot Put

Boys 4x100 relay team

Boys 4x800 relay team

Boys & Girls 4x200 relay teams
