>>Packers Create $3M Cap Space By Restructuring Lane Taylor’s Deal

(Green Bay, WI)  —  The Green Bay Packers will save three million dollars in cap space by restructuring their deal with guard Lane Taylor.  The new agreement lowers Taylor’s base salary from three-point-eight million to one-and-a-half, with another one-and-a-half million available as playing time bonuses.  The new agreement suggests Taylor will make the 53-man roster and have an opportunity to win the starting right guard job.  Taylor is a three-year starter for the Packers who suffered a season-ending injury in practice last year.

>>Bucks Center Brook Lopez Can Hit 3-Pointers, But Only When He’s Guarded

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  Milwaukee Bucks coach Mike Budenholder’s offense is set up to create wide-open shots for three-point shooters while creating paths to the goal for Giannis Antetokounmpo.  When seven-foot center Brook Lopez joined the Bucks, he began throwing up threes and hitting them with 34-percent regularity.  In the season currently stopped, Lopez stopped hitting the shots – especially when he was not covered.  Missing threes – that’s how Milwaukee lost to Toronto in the Eastern Conference finals.  Lopez was connecting on just 29 percent of his long shots when play was suspended.

>>Former UW RB Shaw Transfers To Cal

(Berkeley, CA)  —  Former Wisconsin Badgers running back Bradrick Shaw will be playing for the University of California Bears this fall – if the season isn’t called off.  Shaw was one of six Badgers football players who entered the transfer protocol earlier this year.  Cal coach Justin Wilcox was Wisconsin’s defensive coordinator when Shaw was a redshirt freshman.  He was granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA due to a medical hardship.  Shaw finished his career in Madison with 202 carries for 938 yards and 10 touchdowns.  He played in 31 games.

>>Beaubier Sweeps Superbike Weekend At Road America

(Elkhart Lake, WI)  —  Cameron Beaubier swept the featured races at MotoAmerica Superbike weekend at Road America.  Nobody saw it – at least nobody was in the stands at Elkhart Lake.  Beaubier is the four-time and series-defending champion.  The race was run with many restrictions:  no tickets sold, face coverings worn in pits, and everyone entering the grounds had their temperature taken.  Assuming no changes, fans will be allowed at Road America the end of this month for the next MotoAmerica weekend June 26th-through-28th.  The 27-year-old Beaubier actually set a track record Friday, won the Saturday opener by almost eight seconds, and did it all over again Sunday.
