>>Packers Hall Of Fame Reopens Next Week

(Green Bay, WI)  —  The Packers Hall of Fame reopens its doors next Monday, letting people in for the first time in two-and-a-half months.  The museum in Green Bay has been closed since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Precautions will be in place to keep everyone safe.  All visitors and staff inside the Atrium and the Hall will be required to wear masks and hand sanitizing stations will be located at several spots in the facility.  The Hall of Fame will be open each day from 10:00 a-m to 5:00 p-m.  Each visitor will have 90 minutes to enjoy the exhibits.  Lambeau Field stadium tours and events and the 1919 Kitchen and Tap will remain closed.

 

>>UW’s Frank Kaminsky Named To Big Ten All-Decade First Team

(Madison, WI)  —  Former national player of the year and Wisconsin Badgers record-setting Frank Kaminsky has been named one of the five best Big Ten players over the last decade.  The seven-footer was chosen the best college basketball player in the nation in 2015.  He was named all-conference twice, conference player of the year once and conference player of the week a record six times.  He also led the Badgers basketball team to the Final Four in back-to-back seasons.  Kaminsky was joined on the Big Ten All-Decade First team by Trey Burke of Michigan, Denzel Valentine and Draymond Green of Michigan State, and Evan Turner of Ohio State.

 

>>Bob Uecker Returns For 50th Year As Voice Of The Brewers

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  There’s still a lot of uncertainty for the Milwaukee Brewers and the 2020 Major League Baseball season, but one thing is always constant – Hall of Fame announcer Bob Uecker will be behind the microphone.  The 86-year-old announcer is considered high-risk for coronavirus and some recent health concerns raised questions that were answered this week.  Ueck says he had extensive discussions with team owner Mark Attanasio and the decision was made.  He’s back, again.

 

>>Bucks Owner Says Next 2 Weeks Will Determine What NBA Restart Looks Like

(Milwaukee, WI)  —  One of the Milwaukee Bucks owners says the NBA will move ahead with plans to restart the season with games in Orlando next month – even though that southern state has seen a dramatic increase in COVID-19 cases.  Marc Lasry appeared on CNBC’s “Halftime Report” Thursday.  Virus cases have spiked in the last week so much that workers at Disney World have petitioned government officials to reconsider the park’s reopening.  When asked if the NBA restart will happen, he said, “Yeah, absolutely.”  The league is expected to release an official statement this week announcing the resumption of the season and the playoffs.

 

>>Wisconsin Herd’s Mason Named NBA G League MVP

(Oshkosh, WI)  —  Frank Mason III of the Wisconsin Herd is the NBA G League’s Most Valuable Player for the 2019-2020 season.  The Bucks two-way guard led the G League in scoring and was voted MVP by the coaches and general managers.  Herd coach Chase Buford said Frank has proven that he is an NBA-caliber player and this deserved recognition clearly reflects that.  He added that “Mason is a high-quality person and teammate, and that impresses me most.”  He averaged more than 26 points, five assists and nearly three-and-a-half rebounds in 23 games with the Herd this season.

 

>>NFL Cancels Hall of Fame Preseason Game, Delays Induction Ceremony

(Canton, OH)  —  The NFL is cancelling the Hall of Fame game and is delaying the 2020 induction ceremonies for a year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers was set for August 6th.  Enshrinement for 20 formers N-F-L players going into the Pro Football Hall of Fame will be postponed one year.  Former Packers safety Bobby Dillon was among the ten players selected to the Centennial Class of 2020.  Dillon still owns Green Bay’s franchise record for interceptions with 52 during his eights years with the Pack.  He died last August at age 89.  NFL owners are meeting virtually today and are discussing the 2020 preseason.

 

  >>3 MLB Teams Report Cases Of Coronavirus

(Undated)  —  At least three Major League Baseball teams are reporting cases of coronavirus while the sport is gearing up for a shortened season.  The Detroit Tigers say a player and one staff member have tested positive.  The Seattle Mariners say they have a few positive cases, but they haven’t specified who’s involved.  And, the Boston Red Sox have one person who has tested positive.  The teams report only one of the people testing positive had any symptoms of coronavirus.

 

 >> Minnesota Twins Players Test Positive For COVID-19
