The Latest Sports Headlines:

>>NFL Reduces Preseason Schedule To 2 Games For All Teams

(Green Bay, WI)  --  The NFL is eliminating two of the four preseason games for the Packers and the rest of the league.  ESPN is reporting the move comes in response to the risk factors associated with the coronavirus pandemic.  Games scheduled for the first and fourth weeks of the preseason are eliminated, with some shuffling around done so each team has one home game and one road game.  This means the Packers will host the Cleveland Browns August 22nd and on the road to take on the New York Giants August 29th.  Training camp is tentatively scheduled to be held starting July 28th at Lambeau Field.

>>Manager Leads Brewers Players Back To Miller Park

(Milwaukee, WI)  --  It was starting to look a little like baseball Wednesday at Miller Park.  Milwaukee Brewers manager Craig Counsell and his players returned.  Summer camps were opening at Major League Baseball stadiums all over the country.  The first day wasn’t for infield or outfield drills – not even for a full-fledged batting practice.  Team members like Counsell, Christian Yelich, Ryan Braun and others were tested for COVID-19 first.  Players will hold two workouts a day starting Saturday, with the season officially starting later this month.

>>Packers Sign Top 2 Draft Picks

(Green Bay, WI)  --  The Green Bay Packers have finalized contract agreements with their top two draft picks.  Second rounder A-J Dillon was the first to reach an agreement on a four-year deal.  The 247-pound rookie is expected to add a dimension to an already-strong group of running backs.  Later Tuesday, first-round pick Jordan Love, signed a four-year deal worth a little over 12 million dollars.  Only three draft picks aren’t signed so far – Josiah Deguara, Kamal Martin and Jake Hanson.

>>Bucks Travel To Orlando Next Week For Start Of Training Camp

(Milwaukee, WI)  --  Seventeen Milwaukee Bucks will travel to Orlando next week for the start of training camp.  Those players have been engaged in individual workouts in Milwaukee for some time.  The season is set to tip-off July 30th in what is being called a “bubble” at Disney World.  Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is rejecting arguments that the remaining 22 teams are working toward a tainted championship.  The NBA’s reigning Most Valuable Player says the circumstances mean this will be the toughest championship ever won.  The players will go two months without seeing their families – until after the first round of the playoffs start August 30th.
