Woodson Breaks Collar Bone

Green Bay Packers defensive back Charles Woodson broke his collar bone in Sunday’s 30-20 win over the St. Louis Rams.  Packers Coach Mike McCarthy says that Woodson could be out around six weeks and might actually have to go on injured reserve ending his season.  The injury is said to be similar to the one he suffered in the Super Bowl tow season’s ago.  With Woodson out, rookie Casey Hayward may be asked to fill in and cover the receiver in the slot.  The injury is just another blow to the Packers defense which has seen players go down at multiple key positions.  Linebackers Desmond Bishop and DJ Smith are already lost for the season.  DT BJ Raji has missed the last two games with an ankle injury while LB Nick Perry and CB Sam Shields also missed Sunday’s game with injuries.
