Alice M. Veith

Alice M. Veith, 88, died October 12, 2013, at All About Life Rehabilitation Center, Fond du Lac.

She was born on October 3, 1925, in Oshkosh, a daughter of William and Edna Schuff Golz.

Alice graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1943.

She married Harold P. Veith on July 30, 1949.

Alice worked at the Wisconsin Telephone before marriage and Erickson Gas station and Milwaukee Dynamic Security during her marriage.

Alice was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother all her married life.  She enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and the Wisconsin Dells for many years.  She also enjoyed playing board and card games and working on a computer.

She is a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.

Alice is survived by four children: James (Pamela) Veith of Menomonee Falls, Daniel (Kristine) Veith of Fond du Lac, Steven Veith of Fond du Lac, and Susan Giese of Fond du Lac; four grandchildren: Nicole Veith, Seth Veith, Stephanie Giese, and Joshua Giese; and a brother, Jack Golz; She is further survived by her husband’s brother, William (Dolores) Veith; his sister, June Veith; his two brothers-in-law:  Robert Kunde and William Selwitschka; and his sister-in-law, Pamela Banning; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold, on September 28, 1994; three brothers: William, Robert, and Ronald Golz; two sisters: Pauline (Richard) Kaelin, and Joyce (Elwyn) Horton.

 

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac. The visitation will be on Wednesday at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.

 A private burial will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh, at a later date.
