Alice Wood

Alice E. Wood, formerly of Eden,
went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 03, 2017 at Woodlands Senior Park
where she has resided for the past four years. Alice was born on February 3,
1936 in St. Michaels, the daughter of the late Romand and Leona (Boegel) Kuehl.
On June 17, 1972 she married Don Wood at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden.
Together they owned and operated Wood’s Bar and Catering in Eden. Alice also
worked at Eagles Aerie #270 in Fond du Lac.

 

Alice was a member of Shepherd
of the Hills Catholic Church. In her lifetime Alice enjoyed working at many of
the parish’s chicken dinners, was a member of the Holy Name Society of Eden,
was a member of the Eden Lion’s Club, she also enjoyed playing cards with her
family, teaching Mark how to cook, and saying the rosary. Alice had a strong
faith in God. Alice was always ready to help wherever it was needed and spent
much of her life caring for others until she no longer could.

 

Survivors include her son,
Kenneth (Paula) List of Eden; one step-son, Mark Wood of Sheboygan; five
grandchildren, Jennifer List of Eden , Kimberly List of Fond du Lac, Joel (Tanya)
Wood of Sheboygan, Beth Wood of Atlanta, GA, and Christopher Wood of Sheboygan;
two great-grandchildren, Collin and Carter Wood of Sheboygan; sisters, Helen
Beisbier of Kewaskum and Dolores Cayemberg of Green Bay; lifetime friend,
Evelyn Martin of Kewaskum; brother-in-law, Paul (Nancy) Wood of Fond du Lac;
special niece, Joanne Binder of Plymouth; and many nieces and nephews. Alice
loved them all very much.

 

Alice was preceded in death by
her parents; her first husband, Richard List; her second husband, Donald Wood;
sister, Lorraine Ryan; brothers-in-law, Vince Ryan, Alois Biesbier, and Pat
Cayemberg; one grandchild, Danielle Wood; her mother and father-in-law,
Marguerite and John Wood.

 

Visitation will take place on
Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 3-6 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Parish,
W1562 County Road B, Eden, WI, 53019. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow
the visitation at the church at 6:00 PM. Entombment will take place at Shrine
of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.

 

The family of Alice Wood would
