Ann Marie Yakaites

Ann Marie Yakaites (nee Zickert), aged 74, passed away
quietly on June 17, 2017, at Pleasant Park Place in Ripon, after an extended
illness.


She is survived by her stepfather, Richard Phillips of
Fond du Lac, brother Larry Zickert (Marilyn) of Elkhart Lake, brother Tony Phillips
(Lois) of Baker Florida, and sister Andrea Sommer (Dean) of Sun Prairie;
sisters-in-law, Sue Mohr (Dennis) of Connecticut, Mary Yakaites (Dave Bradel)
of Fond du Lac, and brother-in-law Dennis Yakaites (Joan) of Sayner. 


Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Gary
Yakaites of Fond du Lac, her mother, Marion Phillips of Fond du Lac, father,
Lyle Zickert of Eldorado, and brother, Brian Zickert of Little Torch Key,
Florida.


Ann was born on December 31, 1942, in Fond du Lac, to
Lyle and Marion Zickert.  She graduated from Goodrich High School in
1961.  In the fall of 1961, Ann began her working career with the Federal
Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington D.C.  Returning to Fond du
Lac, Ann worked at the Fond du Lac Eye Clinic, Mack Truck, and finally retiring
from Wells Manufacturing Company.  She married Gary “Yak” Yakaites in
February 2005. 


Ann was exceptionally dedicated to her family,
especially her nieces and nephews.  Her skill in the kitchen was unmatched
and she was the “go-to” member of the family for special occasion
dinners.  She loved the Wisconsin winters and never missed a Green Bay
Packer game.


A brief graveside service will be held at the
Rosendale Cemetery on Wednesday, June 28 at 10:00 a.m.  Chaplain Salmela will officiate the ceremony.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the
Fond du Lac Humane Society.


The family would like to extend their deepest
appreciation to the Hospice Hope staff and the staff at Pleasant Park Place in
Ripon for their dedicated efforts and kindness.
