Ann Seibel

Ann Seibel received her special wings
to start the next journey of her life with our Heavenly Father on

January 1, 2015.

She was born on October 31,
1926 to Arthur and Mildred Parshall Seibel, proud natives of Fond du Lac,
Wisconsin.  She was a graduate of Bragg
Elementary School, Roosevelt Junior High School, and a very proud member of the
great Class of ’44 of Fond du Lac High School.
Ann received her bachelor of music education degree from UW-Madison.

She started her teaching
career in 1949 at Waupun in choral music.
In the early 1950’s, Ann moved to the Fond du Lac School District where
she taught string instruments and orchestra.
She enjoyed 39 years of teaching which went by very quickly.  Along the way she continued to enhance her
education with a master’s degree from the university and many music workshops.

Ann continued to support
music in the community by directing the Waupun United Congregational Church
choir and Fond du Lac’s Pilgrim United Church of Christ choir, which became her
extended family.

Ann’s home church for over 80
years was Division Street Methodist Church, later to be called Covenant United
Methodist Church.  It was here that she
directed the bell choir, her “Ding-a-Lings”.
She was active on many church committees.

In her personal life, Ann and
her long-time friend, Ruth, purchased a cabin on Alma Lake in 1968, where she
resided in the summers.  She enjoyed the
north woods with her Pug dogs, Skipper and Sarge, and most recently, her niece’s
Bull dog, Tug.  In the north woods, Ann
supported the community by serving on the Lake Association Board.

She is survived by two
sisters-in-law:  Marion “Buzzy” (John’s
wife), Margaret (Art’s wife); her nieces:
Jane Seibel, Nancy Seibel, and Barb (Randy) Kyle; her nephews:  Art (Jane) Seibel and Tom Seibel; and many more
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by
her parents, Arthur and Mildred Seibel; and her three brothers:  John, Bob, and Art.

A memorial service will be
held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at Covenant United Methodist
Church, 20 North Marr Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Michael Morning
officiating.

The family will greet
relatives and friends on Saturday at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of
service.

Donations will be used to
fund a music scholarship in Ann’s name.

Ann will be greatly missed by
those of us who she graced with her smile and energy.
