Bette R. Guell

Bette Ruth (Eichstedt) Guell, 77 of Fond du Lac, passed away surrounded by family on July 8, 2017. 



Bette was born July 1, 1940, to Lehman and Ruth (Schroeder) Eichstedt. 



She attended schools in Fond du Lac and graduated from Oakfield High School in 1958. 



On October 15, 1961, she married Darrell Guell and raised four children: 



Roy, Lori, Barb and Lynnette. 



The marriage ended after 23 years. 



Bette gave her heart to being a mother, but over the years also held jobs as varied as a telephone operator, farmer, cake decorator, newspaper delivery driver and manager of two assisted living facilities. 



She worked hard with her hands, but also created beautiful things with them like needlework, sewing, ceramics and every 1970s arts and crafts fad. 



She taught Sunday School for many years and had been involved in ministry at the Fond du Lac Assembly of God Church in earlier years. 



She enjoyed all things German, including three trips there, fishing, meeting friends and being the life of the party. 



Bette is survived by four children: 



Roy (Chris) Guell of Fond du Lac, Lori (Ed) Zabel of Harris, MN, Barb (Matt) Breaux of North Fond du Lac, and Lynnette (Mike) Lozoya of Covina, CA, former husband Darrell (Connie) Guell of Fond du Lac, 10 grandchildren: Aaron (Crystal) Guell, Daniel Guell, Elizabeth Guell, Edward Guell, Kelly (Brian) Larson, Tyler Zabel, Holly Zabel, Tony Breaux, Lauren Breaux and Livia Lozoya, two great- grandchildren: 



Marshall Guell and Gracie Larson, and two more on the way. 



She is also survived by sisters: 



Sallie (Lloyd) Helmer of Ripon, and Patty (LeRoy) Kemnitz of Westfield, brother-in-law Leon Stange of Random Lake and many nieces, nephews and friends. 



She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lehman (Millie and Rose) Eichstedt Jr., sister Jane Stange and nephew Mark Stange. 




A Celebration of Life for Bette will be held Sunday, August 6, 2017, at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac at 4PM with a visitation from 3PM until 4PM. 



Cremation has taken place.
