Betty Jean Kovalaske

Betty Jean Kovalaske, 84, of Eden went to her heavenly home on Sat. Aug. 3, 2013 with her family gathered around her. She was born on Oct. 6, 1928 at Green Lake, the daughter of Emil and Bessie (nee Bazely) Ehrenberg. On June 21, 1947, Betty married Harold E. “Cub” Kovalaske at Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon. Betty worked as a secretary/accountant for Green Giant, Fabrico and the Ronald Born Law office and later as a cook at Ripon High School. Betty and Cub then owned and operated Green Acres Supper Club for 16 years where Betty was in charge of the cooking before retiring to Eden. She was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Ripon and now a member of Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac. She was a founding and longtime member and president of the Town and Country Garden Cub in Ripon. Betty enjoyed cooking for family and friends, doing puzzles, and gardening and was a strong supporter of the Ripon Harmony Kings. Most of all Betty enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her daughters Judy Kovalaske of Sun City Center, FL and Vicki Page of Eden, her son Mark (Susan) Kovalaske of Ridgway, CO, her grandchildren Michelle Lytle, Erica (Leif) Vogel, Freya (Richard) O’Brien, Mindy (Kyle) Gellings, Dawn (Chad) Kempf, Heidi (Mike) Fideler, Tyler (Danielle) Page, and Brittney (Chris) Kor, her great grandchildren Spencer and Trenton Vogel, Brandon and Blake Lytle, Aubrey and Kaylin O’Brien, Hunter and Mason Gellings, Vann and Brinn Kempf, Sadie, Jaxon, and Oliver Fideler, Harper and Cambelle Page, and Aden and Logan Kor, her sister-in-law Leona Wagner of Milwaukee, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband “Cub” on Dec. 27, 2009, a grandson Jedadiah Kovalaske, a great grandson Conner O’Brien, and her brothers Thad and Roland Ehrenberg.

Funeral services with be held on Thursday Aug. 8th at 5:30 PM at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church, 210 Wisconsin American Dr. Fond du Lac with visitation on Thursday. from 3:30 PM until time of services at the church.
