Carlton “Bud” J. Moss

Carlton “Bud” J. Moss, 85, of
Fond du Lac, passed away Monday, December 1, 2014, at Hospice Home of Hope,
Fond du Lac.

 

He was born on September 5,
1929, in Fond du Lac, the son of Lawrence C. and Josephine D. Soll Moss.

 

On March 18, 1953, he married
Elaine V. Georg in Newport, Rhode Island, while serving in the United States
Navy.  Bud served four years on the
U.S.S. Dortch, along with 11 other men, all from Fond du Lac.

 

Bud worked a few years for
Frostline Refrigeration.  When they
closed, he went to Green Bay and worked for 10 years.  He returned to Fond du Lac and went to work
for J.F. Ahern and retired in 1991.

 

He is survived by his wife of
61 years, Elaine; three sisters:  Arlene
Kennedy, Pat DuFrane, and Cheryl (Jack) Ward; many nieces and nephews; a
brother-in-law, Robert Georg; two nieces: 
Kathleen (Rick) Strebe and Judith (Steve) Plautz; and a great-niece,
Kimberly Strebe.

 

He was preceded in death by
his parents; two sisters:  Sue Kedinger
and Sr. Lauren Moss, O.F.F.; two brothers-in-law:  Robert DuFrane and Ronald Kennedy; and a
nephew, Mark Kennedy.

 

According to Bud’s wishes,
there will be no visitation or service.

 

Cremation has taken place and
inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
