Charles W. Nichols

Charles W.
Nichols, 82, resident of Fond du Lac, passed
away on Friday October 30, 2015 at St.
Agnes Hospital
.  Charles was born on February 17, 1933 in Hillsboro, WI,
a son of William and Julia (Studnichka) Nichols. 

On June 7,
1986 he married Carol M. Lallier at St. Joseph
Church, Fond du Lac
Charlie was previously married to Ruth Bohren who preceded him in
death. 

Charlie was
a graduate of the University
of Wisconsin
,
Platteville, with a Bachelor of Science degree. 
He was also a graduate of the University
of Wisconsin, Madison, with a Master of Science degree in
Dairy Science. 

Charlie
served in the Marine Corp Reserves from 1956-1958 and obtained the rank of
captain.  He worked for the Ralston
Purina Company and Purina Mills for 29 years. 
He retired in 1988. 

Charles was
a former member of the Elks Lodge BPOE 57, served as co-chairman of the
building committee for Pilgrim U.C.C. and also as Church Council President for
two years.

He enjoyed
hunting, fishing, carpentry and spending time with his family, especially the
grandchildren. 

Charlie is
survived by Carol, his wife of 29 years; three children, Jennifer (Vincent)
Huegel of Charles City, IA, Dave Lallier and Jeff (Wanda) Lallier of Fond du
Lac; eight grandchildren, Kyle Huegel, Aaron Huegel, Jacob Huegel, Nichole
(Scott) Blanck, Brian Lallier, Catherine Lallier, Jesse Lallier and Kendra
Lallier; two great grandchildren, Terrin and Brantley; nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.

Preceding
Charlie in death are his parents, first wife, Ruth; three sisters, Lydia
Wetley, Lillian DeRushe and Marie Erie.

Visitation:  The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday,
November 2, 2015 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, WI

Service
At 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, a Funeral Service will be
celebrated at the Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 535 Stow Street, Fond du Lac.  There is no visitation at the Church.  Burial will be in Greenwood
Cemetery, Monroe WI,
on Wednesday, November 4.
