Dawn M. Fryda

Dawn Marie
Fryda, age 49, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Nicholas
Hospital in Sheboygan after a long battle with Huntington’s disease. She was
born on April 22, 1968 to Richard R. Fryda and Christine M. (Franzen) Stevens
in Fond du Lac.


Dawn was a
1986 graduate of F.J. Turner High School in Beloit. She graduated from
UW-Whitewater with BSE in elementary education and a minor in music. Dawn then
attended MATC police academy. During Dawn’s senior year of high school, she
enrolled in the Army National Guard. She was active duty in Panama and was
called out for service in 1991 during the Gulf War. Dawn was employed in Dane
County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff.


Dawn had
many talents; great athlete, singer and musician. Dawn was a member of the Rock
Aqua Jays National Champion Waterski Show Team. Dawn had always remained sweet
and loving throughout her years. Dawn fought a strong, brave fight with dealing
with Huntington’s.


Dawn is
survived by her mother, Christine (Mark) Stevens; Godparents, Margaret (Dale)
Rost and Bruce (Joyce) Fryda; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and
friends.


She is
preceded in death by her father, Richard; one brother, Shawn Fryda; maternal
grandparents, Fritz (Irene) Franzen; paternal grandparents, Frank (Regina)
Fryda; aunts, uncles and other relatives.


Service:  The family will receive relatives and friends
on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel of the Risen Christ,
Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Avenue, Fond du Lac, WI 54935. A committal
service will be held at 11:00 AM with military honors to follow. Cremation has
taken place.

flowers, memorials may be directed to Huntington’s disease Society of America.
