Donald A. Klein

Donald A. Klein, 78, passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc. He was born on June 10, 1936 in Lancaster, the son of Alfred and Irene (nee Shaw) Klein. Donald served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from February 1953 to June 1957. On August 17, 1957 he married Ellen A. Budd at Mt. Hope Methodist Church in Mt. Hope. 



Donald worked in the cheese factory in Mt. Hope, as a salesman for Mormon Seed, farmed in Grant County and in De Pere, worked for the Kohler Company, drove truck for Regalware and for Byrd Trucking in Waupun, worked at Eden Farm Supply and then drove truck for TTI until retirement. In his younger years Don was a pitcher for a number of fast pitch softball teams. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, camping and the great outdoors. He also loved traveling in his RV but most of all loved spending time with his family. Don was a great supporter of his granchildren’s sporting activities attending as many games as possible. 



Survivors include his wife Ellen, his children, Diane Grohall of Sheboygan, Brenda (Michael) Rapp of Fond du Lac, Lorraine (Curt) Clements of Campbellsport and Duane Klein of Sheboygan; his grandchildren, Chad (Brandy) and Sean Grohall, Kristen and Kevin Rapp and Britni and Colin Klein; his siblings Margaret Knapp, Betty Christoperson, Edward (Sherry) Klein, Jerry (Diane) Klein and Mary (Al) Ross, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Janice and Dorothy and his brothers Richard and Dale. 



Funeral services will be held on Thursday Feb. 12th at 7:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial with military services will be 10:00 AM Friday Feb. 13th in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.
