Donald Paskey

Donald Paskey,
83, of Waupun, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du
Lac.

 

Don was born
April 21, 1931 in Waupun to Walter and Pauline Zilch Paskey. Don attended
Waupun schools and graduated in 1949.  In
June of 1951 he married Beverly M. Buchholz. 
He served our country in the National Guard from 1954-1957. Don worked
with his father and brothers at Waupun Bottling Works until 1982. He worked for
Waupun Utilities from August of 1982 until March of 1997. He started cleaning at
Wee Care Child Center when it opened in 1989. He enjoyed working there with
Carol’s husband, Dennis, until November of 2014. He was “grandpa” to all the
children there. Don was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish.  He and Beverly enjoyed traveling to Pine Lake
as often as they could. Don loved spending time with his children and
grandchildren, and enjoyed watching the Packers, Bucks, and Brewers. Don was a
member of Immanuel Lutheran Church all of his life, serving in any way that he
could.

 

Don is survived
by his children: Carol (Dennis) Glass of Waupun, Carla (James) Petersen of
Waupun, Karen (Randall) Pollock of Brandon, and Donna (Matthew) Dickhut of
Waupun; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren;
two sisters-in-law: Lorna Paskey and Barbara Paskey; and nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded
in death by his wife, Beverly; his parents; two brothers: William and Carl; a
sister, Ruth; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dale and Margaret
Buchholz.

 

Funeral services
for Don Paskey will be held Friday, January 23, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Waupun with Pastor Elizabeth Lee officiating. Private burial
will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and relatives may call on
the family on Friday at the church from 6 p.m. until the time of service.

 

In lieu of
flowers memorial contributions can be directed to Agnesian Hospice Hope of Fond
du Lac.
