Dorothy A. Ryan

Dorothy A. Ryan, 82, of Eden passed away on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017 at her home. She was born on April 28, 1934, the daughter of Joseph M. and Margaret (Birschbach) Gilles. 



On April 21, 1954, she married Thomas James Ryan, the son of James and Mary (Fields) Ryan in Johnsburg. Dorothy worked at Wells in Fond du Lac, ran Tom and Dorothy’s Bar in Eden and then worked at Friday Canning Company in Eden before retiring. 



Dorothy enjoyed walking, feeding her birds, playing cards and watching the Packers. She was a people person who loved her neighbors and animals. 



Most important to Dorothy was the time she spent with her family. 





Survivors include two sons Dennis (Connie) of Dundee and Randy (Brenda) of Campbellsport, four grandchildren Mike and Jason of Dundee and Santana and Jeremy of Campbellsport, special friend Bobby Meier of Eden, other relatives and many friends. 



Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Thomas, parents Joseph and Margaret Gilles, parents-in-law James and Marie Ryan, two sisters Stella Schaefer and Viola Nett, four brothers-in-law Claude Schaefer, Robert Nett, John Landolf, Sr. and Allen Kiester and niece Roseanne Preissne. 



A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 20th at 11:30 AM at Shepherd of the Hill Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden. 



Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and inurnment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden. 



Visitation will be Monday Feb. 20th from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at Shepherd of the Hills Church.
