Dr. James H. Lenz

Dr. James H. Lenz, 80, of Waupun, died Monday, November 10,
2014 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.

 

Jim was born September 8, 1934 in Milwaukee, WI the son of
Rudolph and Frances Healy Lenz. 
Following high school, Jim went on to Marquette University where he
received his DDS in 1958.  On July 27,
1956 he married Mary Ann Srnec in Milwaukee. 
Following his education, Jim had a private part-time practice from
1961-1995 in Waupun and was a dentist for the State of Wisconsin, working at
Central State Hospital and Fox Lake Correctional Institution.  Jim was a dental consultant for the
Department of Corrections in Wisconsin for several years.  He was a veteran of the Wisconsin Army
National Guard from 1963-1994 at which time he retired with the rank of
colonel.  Having received his private
pilot’s license in 1968, Jim enjoyed flying his Cessna airplane.  He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing,
camping, hunting, wildlife habitat restoration, and golfing at Rock River
Country Club in Waupun.

 

Jim is survived by he and Mary Ann’s three children:  James B. (Pauline) Lenz of Deerfield, WI, David
M. (Terri) Lenz of Monticello, WI, and Patricia A. “Tricia” (John) Korth of
Plover, WI; six grandchildren: Katie (Nate) Grundahl, James E. Lenz, Gaia
“Sarah” Lenz, Daniel J. (Courtney) Lenz, Nolan Korth, and Jaycie Korth; and six
great-grandchildren.

 

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann, on March
14, 2014; his parents; and a brother, Warren Lenz.

 

Friends and relatives of Dr. James H. Lenz may call on the
family on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 10 a.m. until noon at the
Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun where American Legion Post 210 of Waupun
will perform military honors.

 

In honor of Jim’s late wife, Mary Ann, the family requests
memorials be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
