Edna Raymond

Edna Raymond, 105, of Campbellsport passed away Tuesday March 1, 2016 at Harbor Cove in Port Washington with her family gathered around her. She was born September 19, 1910 in the Town of Ashford, the daughter of the late John A. and Julia (Frey) Scheurman.  On June 29, 1929, Edna married Gordon Raymond in Fond du Lac. They owned and operated Raymond’s Red & White Grocery in Campbellsport from 1937 to 1965. Edna was a member of the Campbellsport United Christian Church. Edna loved to bowl and play sheepshead and other games.   She enjoyed the Packers and Brewers, her plants, collecting cups and saucers, riding Harleys with friends and traveling which she did to all 48 continuous states.  Most important of all, Edna was very dedicated to her family.




 




Survivors include her son Kenneth Raymond of Port Washington, her daughter Carol (Leo) Neis of Cedarburg, her grandson Brent (Tori) Neis of Saukville, her great grandsons Connor and Hayden Neis, her sister-in-law Caryl Scheurman of Watertown, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.




Edna was preceded in death by husband Gordon on September 3, 1979, her daughter-in-law Irma Raymond, her sisters Olive Enright, Marie Brown and Laura Huiras and her brothers Harvey, E.G. “Jerry” and Buell Scheurman.




 




Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 5th at 2:00 PM at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport.  Rev. Paula Anderson will officiate and burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport.




Visitation will be Saturday March 5th from 12:00 Noon until time of services at the funeral home with memorials appreciated to Vitas Innovative Hospice or the charity of your choice.
