Edward J. Rozman

Edward J. “Ed” Rozman, age 87, of Chilton, died on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. He was born October 1, 1928 in rural Chilton, son of the late John & Anna (Petrac) Rozman.



Ed served with the United States Army in Japan following America’s victory of WWII. Upon his Honorable Discharge from service, Ed returned to Wisconsin where he started to lay down his roots.



He married Theresa Bruckner on August 12, 1952 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Chilton. He worked for several local companies, but most of his working career was at Carnation Co. in Chilton where he remained until his retirement in 1988.



Ed was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Augustine Parish, and was a lifetime member of both the Chilton VFW and the Knights of Columbus.



He enjoyed collecting coins and watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. Ed also looked forward to trips with his beloved wife, Theresa. They enjoyed local trips to casinos, and longer trips throughout the country, especially to Las Vegas. They even once drove over the Canadian border and immediately turned around just to say they left the country.



Back in the day, Ed also enjoyed time spent at the bowling alley where he and Theresa bowled together on Saturday nights in a couples league and he bowled Wednesday nights in the men’s league.



Ed will be remembered as a kind an loving husband and father who was always there to offer a kind word or a warm smile to those who needed it.



Survivors include his wife: Theresa; his children: Steven (Katie) Rozman, Cynthia Hanssen, Kim Lisowe, Debra Nolan; 16 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way; 1 great-great grandchild; and a sister-in-law: Lenora “Lenny” Boll. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.



Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters: Liz Toth & Mary Pelishek; and his brothers: Louis, Mike, Andy, Jim & Bill Rozman.



Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (54 E. Main St.) in Chilton with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Burial will be in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
