She worked for the St. Mary Catholic School lunch program and assisted children to learn to read in the Chilton School District through the Retired Senior Volunteer Program. She also belonged to the Chilton Senior Citizens Club and helped with the organization of the Chilton Senior Fest. Over the past several years, Ethel enjoyed puzzle making, word searches, cleaning hickory nuts and found herself to be an avid Milwaukee Brewers viewer.
