EVA A. “DUFFY” ANTHES

Eva A. “Duffy” Anthes, 75, formerly of Campbellsport and of Van Dyne, died Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Manor Care Health Services. She was born on June 27, 1938, in Fond du Lac the daughter of Henry and Virginia Dodd Buetow. On October 31, 1959, she married Gary W. Anthes at Presentation Church, North Fond du Lac. Gary and Eva celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on October 31, 2009. Eva grew up and lived most her life  in Van Dyne. She was employed as a secretary with North Fond du Lac Public Schools, University Wisconsin- Oshkosh and Kewaskum Middle School retiring in 2003. She was a member of Presentation Church, North Fond du Lac and St. Matthews Church, Campbellsport. Eva was a charter member of the Van Dyne Lioness Club and a member of the Van Dyne Fireman’s Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling in leagues both in Van Dyne and Fond du Lac and enjoyed golfing.

SURVIVORS: Eva is survived by her husband, Gary Anthes, Campbellsport, and her six children and nine grandchildren; Carla (John) Schommer, Sheboygan and their children Mark and Sarah Schommer, Greg Anthes, San Diego, California, David (Vicki) Athnes, Marietta, Georgia and their children Reed, Jacob and Nathan Anthes, Bill (Michelle) Anthes, Oshkosh and their children Alyssa, Jacob, Kaylee and Kyle Anthes, Kate (Bob) Hoffmaster, Fond du Lac, Jon (Cheri) Anthes, Fond du Lac. Eva was preceded in death by her parents.

VISITATION: Friends may call on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and on Thursday at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of services. FUNERAL: Mass of Christian Burial will take place Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac. Entombment will follow at Chapel of The Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
