Everett L. Armour

Everett L. Armour, 80, of Fond du Lac, passed away at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home on Wednesday, August 28, 2013.  Everett was born in Union County, IL, on August 1, 1933, a son of Fred and Villa (Smith) Armour.

On November 22, 1956, Thanksgiving Day, he married Loris Leu at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du Lac.

Everett served in the United States Army from October 1953 until October 1955.  He was part owner of E-Jay appliance.  He also was in sales for Deising Automotive, Broadway Auto and retired from Bergstrom Auto. 

Everett was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Fond du Lac where he served over the years as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and member of the Memorial Men’s Fellowship. 

Everett is survived by Loris, his wife of 56 years; daughter, Donna (David) Tegt of Janesville; grandchildren, Laura Tegt of Janesville and Matthew (Jamie) Tegt of Beloit; great grandchildren, Kaleb and Khloe; brother, Fred (Faye) Armour; sisters, Joyce George and Judy (Bryan) Lamb; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding Everett in death are his parents, brother, Kenneth and sisters Freida Hartline, Frances Hileman, Peggy Orzel. 

Visitation:  The family will receive relatives and friends at the Memorial Baptist Church, 645 Forest Avenue, Fond du Lac, on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.

Service:  At 11:00 AM in Memorial Baptist Church, on Saturday, August 31, a funeral service will be celebrated.  Pastor Brian Hastings will officiate.  Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.

His family is grateful to the staff at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for all the care and compassion given to Everett and his family.
