Faye Duchow

Faye L. Duchow, age 80, of Chilton, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Chilton. Faye was born in Chilton on July 15, 1936, daughter of the late Raymond and Leona (Prochnow) Jensen. She married Orville A. Duchow on July 21, 1956 at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Chilton. Faye was employed as a waitress for Altona Supper Club and Old Mill for many years.

In her down time, Faye enjoyed reading books, baking, camping, fishing, taking bus trips around the country, spending time with the family at the cottages on lake Winnebago and Shawano Lake, tending to her beautiful flowers gardens, decorating the backyard, playing a good round of Sheepshead, or going out for a good night of dancing. When it came to rummage sales, she was definitely known as the “rummage sale extraordinaire”, who at times brought their family RV to pick up larger items that she had purchased. Above all the activities Faye enjoyed doing, she especially loved time she could spend with her family, even if it meant sitting out on the front porch swing enjoying each others company. She will alway be remembered for her intuitive memory of her family members birthdays and anniversaries, never missing the opportunity to send a card. Faye was always a caring person who loved everyone in which she came in contact with. Her uplifting and warm personality will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Orville; a daughter, Tracy (significant other, Jim Knorr) Ketchum; five sons, Tom (Dee) Duchow, Terry Duchow, Timothy (Dori) Duchow, Troy (Kerry) Duchow, and Travis (Amy) Duchow; 8 grandchildren, Amber (Duke), Evan, Kale, Keaton, Jason (Nikki), Jessica (Michael), Jennifer, and Jordan; 5 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Carter, Christine, and Isaiah; two sister-in-laws, Myrtle (Dave) Stecker and Carol Duchow; nieces, nephews, relatives, friends; and canine companions, Miley, Hogan, Shania, Comet and Dakota.
