Gail Ann Busse

Gail Ann Busse, nee Hardrath, 65, of Stockbridge, formerly of Manitowoc County, through God’s mercy was taken home on Friday, May 1, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones.



Gail was born February 5, 1950 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, daughter of Hugo and Lois Hardrath.



In August 1978 John R. Busse and Gail Hardrath were united in marriage at United Methodist Church in Stockbridge.



After moving to Stockbridge in 1978 Gail did child care for many years. She then furthered her employment with the Stockbridge Post Office and received special recognition for selling Avon for over 25 years. Gail was the Treasurer of the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce and Secretary of United Methodist Church until they closed.



She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and was proud to have visited Graceland three times. She enjoyed playing miniature golf with her friends, feeding her birds, and knitting.



Gail’s survivors include her husband, John Busse of Stockbridge; her mother, Lois (Pete) Hau; two sisters, Bonnie (Roger) Olson of Eagle River and Lori (Ted) Czeskleba of Stockbridge; six brothers, Terry (Sue) Hardrath of Kellnersville, Rick (Kay) Hardrath of Hilbert, Gary Hardrath of Menasha, Greg (Lori) Hardrath of Merrill, Michael Hardrath of St. Nazianz, and Brian (Marj) Hardrath of Chilton; Godchildren, Missy (Dennis) Duprey of Hilbert, Joey Schmitting of Stockbridge, Shane Hardrath of Merrill; her many nieces and nephews; her special girls, Kelly (Brian) Gardner of Greenville, Shayla, Kelsey, Paige, and Ashlynn Mueller; and many other relatives and friends.



She was preceded in death by her father, Hugo Hardrath.



Funeral Services will be at 11:00am on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main Street) in Chilton with the Rev. Joel Brassfield officiating. Burial will be in Portland Cemetery in the Town of Chilton. Friends may call at Wieting Family Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 and on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the funeral home from 10:00am to 10:45am.



A memorial fund has been established in Gail’s name.



Gail’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the caregivers from Calumet County Home, Health, and Hospice and to her friend, Dawn, for the care and compassion shown to her.
