George A. Thayer

George A. Thayer, 60, of Dundee passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac. 



He was born in Sheboygan on March 16, 1957, the son of George T. and Eunice E. (Dippel) Thayer. George worked at Cascade Cheese for over 25 years and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee. He enjoyed bird hunting and was a member of the NRA. George also enjoyed roller skating in his younger years, attending county fairs especially for their music concerts and fireman parades and picnics but most important to George were his church and his job. 



Survivors include his sister Eunice (Ronald) Keller, his nephews and niece Ronald Keller, Randy Keller, Renee Keller, Kevin Chesak and Shawn Chesak, his great nephews Keith (Lisa) Keller, Adam Schmitz and Eric Schmitz, his great great niece and nephew Maya and Nolan Keller other relatives and friends. George was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Chesak and his great nephew Philip Keller. 



Visitation will be Monday, June 12th from 2:00 PM until time of services at Trinity Lutheran Church, Dundee (W494 Elm St. Campbellsport). In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church. 


Funeral services will be held Monday, June 12th at 4:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church Dundee. Rev. Robert Oberg will officiate and burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. 



The family extends a special thank you to the doctors and staff of the Agnesian Cancer Center and to the nurses and staff of the Hospice Home of Hope for their care and concern shown George during his illness.
