Gerald I. Ramthun
Gerald I. Ramthun, 81, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully Saturday October 31, 2015 at his home. He was born Oct. 24, 1934 in Dundee, the son of Ralph and Irma Ramthun Hinman. On July 14, 1956, Jerry married Beverly F. Feuerhammer at the Campbellsport United Church of Christ. He worked as an independent trucker hauling steel until starting Dundee Sand and Gravel in 1968 which the family still operates. Jerry was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee and served as the secretary of the Campbellsport Sportsman Club for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, gambling and his cottage Up North but most important was the time spent with his family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish Jerrys memory include his wife Bev, his son Thomas (Kathy) Ramthun, his daughter Barbara (Steve) Klumpyan, his daughter-in-law Debbie Ramthun, his grandchildren Tracy Ramthun, Michael (Stef) Ramthun, Tami Ramthun, Travis Ramthun, Mindy (Cody) Immel and Justin Klumpyan, his great grandchildren Brady, Kylie, Etta, Jayden, Jailee, Shaelyn and Bryson, his sister Carol Gibbs, his brother-in-law Don Feuerhammer, other relatives and many friends.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his son Dave, his in-laws Elmer and Mildred Feuerhammer and Vera Ramthun.
Visitation will be Saturday November 7th from 12:00 Noon until time of services at Trinity Lutheran Church, Dundee.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday November 7th at 3:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee (W494 E. Elm Street Campbellsport, WI 53010). Rev. Robert Oberg will officiate and burial will be Sunday in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
