Gladys M. Anderson Marggi

            Gladys M.
Anderson Marggi, a resident of St. Francis Home, Fond du Lac, passed away
Saturday, October 11, 2014.

            She was
born November 28, 1916 in the Town of Lamartine,
a daughter of the late Charles and Harriet Landreman Fisher.

            On
September 9, 1939 she married William P. Anderson of Armstrong, at St. John’s Catholic
Church, Woodhull.  He died on August 21,
1978.  She then married Oscar M. Marggi
on December 4, 1982.

            Gladys
graduated from Fond du Lac
Senior High School
as her
classes Valedictorian in 1934 and a 1938 graduate of the St. Agnes School of
Nursing.  She was active in volunteering
with the 4-H organization and the Fond du Lac Homemakers, St. Joseph’s Church
and the Church’s Catholic Women, Fond du Lac Historical Society, Christian
Nurses, the Red Cross Blood Bank, Peer Counseling at the Senior Center and a
volunteer with the Galloway House.  Also,
she was a charter member of the Loves and Fishes, Mobile Meals Programs, Right
To Life and was an Associate with the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes.

            Survivors
include her husband Oscar; two sons, Patrick (Diane) Anderson of El Paso, TX
and Daniel Anderson of Dundee; five daughters, Mary (John) Havey of Beverly
Hills, FL, Kathleen (Don) Mueller of Appleton, Alice (John) Birschbach of FDL,
Margaret Anderson of FDL and Ellen Anderson of FDL; one step-son Gary (Sharon)
Marggi of Eldorado and one step-daughter Susan (Phil) Pinch of Brandon; 23 grandchildren;
20 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren;
three sisters, Harriet Weisenberger of Seal Beach, CA, Agnes Breitzman of
Coloma and Sr. Joan Fisher C.S.A of FDL.

            She was preceded
in death by her parents; husband William; an infant daughter Mary Therese; a
daughter and son-in-law Carol (Daniel) Donovan; one son Thomas Anderson; three
grandchildren, Richard, Doreen and Danielle Donovan; one brother William Fisher
and one sister Marian Kettenbeil.

            Visitation
will be at St. Francis Home Chapel, 33
Everett St.
, on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 1:15
pm to 2:15 pm.

            A Liturgy
of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at St. Francis Home Chapel at
2:30 pm.  Burial will be in Our Lady of
Angels Catholic Church Cemetery, Armstrong.

            In lieu of
flowers, memorials in her name may be directed to St. Lawrence Seminary or the
charity of one’s choice.
